Salad in a jar
Salads can be hard to pack on the go, but a simple mason jar will do the trick!
Ingredients - Layer IN THIS ORDER
2 Tbs of your favorite dressing
Veggies such as diced tomato, cucumber, corn, black beans (more “wet” veggies)
1 cup diced or shredded chicken
Cheese of your choice
1/4 Avocado, sliced
1-2 cups chopped romaine or lettuce of your choice
Steps
1. Place ingredients in the jar, in that order.
2. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days, until ready to eat.
3. When ready to eat, simply pour ingredients into a bowl or onto a plate and enjoy!
Note: you can easily double this recipe to make 2 or more mason jar salads at a time!
Another note: This recipe can be enjoyed with any of your favorite salad ingredients. Simply keep the wettest ingredients in the bottom of the jar and the lettuce near the top.
